I found it! I found the ground! It’s around 30 inches below my feet when I fall through the white crusty, crumbly stuff. I can tell it’s the ground because it stops my descent... which is kind of the job of the ground, I guess. Otherwise I might be writing this to to ya’ll from middle earth. Or the middle of the earth... whatever. Oh and the cows, for whom I was searching when I fortuitously discovered the ground, are on the top of the hill. So, all is good.
