Surviving Minnesota!

But how many will mature? I thought I would get two or three the first year. But ghat one was the only one ever.
I have three other trees that are completely loaded so the robins will likely get that one cherry. The others I have built pvc frames around and cover them with bird netting so all I have to fight for those are the ants which aren't a problem until the cherries are dead ripe.

Just enough for her shirt to be moist, my jeans were soaked through along with my boots and I do have some welts on my arm today from the hail

No, even if she did afterwards I said to her your you're not the brightest are you

If you were soaked and even had hail welts..

And your sister just had a few drops on her...

I am thinking it may not be the sister that is “is not the brightest”..

Morning everyone, quick question for everyone that hatches. What do you keep your humidity at? I'm having the worst of luck this year with hatches and I'm trying to pinpoint where the problem is. I just had a batch of 10 turkey eggs, from our birds, that developed beautifully but failed to hatch. Monday was 28 days and still not even a pip.

Also had a few poor hatches on shipped eggs but at least there, something hatched and I was expecting the hatch rate to be poor.

It is the year. The humidity is hard to keep constant. The eggs seem different somehow.

I have had terrible hatches for the second year in a row.

I run around 30% incubating and 65% at hatching.. but this year i have upped it to 75% or more and still have heat shrink wrapping.. i dunno anymore what to do.

I have given up on anymore garden this year.

No melons, squash, pumpkins etc...

Mid June and the weather is finally safe to plant, but events in our lives get in the way. I looked at the seeds and realized we don’t have 90-100 frost free days for this stuff to mature in.

I will be lucky to get my spring work done before fall.. so i am skipping the summer stuff.

The veggie garden is pitiful right now. I'm probably going to need season extenders.

I've been filling in for a postmaster in another town all week, so my gardening and projects are not getting done. Lots of rain in the forecast for next week, so I probably won't get much done then either. It's depressing.

I do have a couple new Iris blooming. The purple I planted last year and already lost the tag. The other is called Rockstar and is still in a pot next to the porch waiting.
