Surviving Minnesota!

Morning,,,
Off to Duluth today...

I have to go to a play up there because I am such a patron of the arts.

I will have to sit nicely and applaud no matter what the “play” is really like.

Us patrons of the art do these things. I have a hunch this will cost me money..

But then when the star of the show is 5 and the oldest actors are 6... how bad can it be?

I will admit I would not be as patronly if my granddaughter had not begged me to become a patron of the arts..

The littles screamed and kicked. BUT they were put in my nice clean new bedding coop tonight with the bitties (big girls) and Sentry. They snuggled right next to that rooster and he took them under his wing. No pecking or nothing. Oh man is that rooster a love.

NO more brooder and pooping in my garage.
You're killing me. I knew I sent off the wrong rooster. The younger that we kept crows a ton, does little gifting, and has few instincts other than breeding. I tossed a little garder snake in the run the other night and he had no interest. Could not have cared less.

It IS beautiful, Ralphie... looks like skeeter country, though.

We were in the 80s here today and 100% humidity. Wouldn’t that be like, swimming? (No, I do understand, mostly, but it always sounds funny to me.) DH is not happy he has to do my chores in this weather.

I slipped, running on dewy grass last night and he forced me to go to the doctor this morning, so if he’s out in the hotness, we know whose fault that is. Mostly I’ve been sitting all day with frozen peas (in a bag) on my knee. Knees weren’t meant to bend laterally... in case anyone was wondering. I do wonder how much it cost us for me to be told to put my leg up, ice, rest, take ibuprofen & wear a knee brace. :hmm
