I burned, tilled, pulled weeds today. I replanted beans and cukes where needed. I replaced a few pumpkins and melons with cukes also.

There is less than 70 days until frost so melons, squash and pumpkins won’t make it this year.

I guess that I am not supposed to have a garden this year. There was frost on June 9 and 10. The ground has been on the cool side so a months worth of growing already gone. To top it off, there was hail yesterday and today.

The garden gods are showing their anger this year

I had some cuke hills I planted in the first week of June that never came up. They came up yesterday. I found some seeds that just rotted in the ground. Sad year!

I am skeered today, there is no rain, we might be entering global drying. The threat of drying up and shriveling to the point of non-existence is overwhelming.

No shriveling here. Sloshing, splashing, swimming... (well, maybe not swimming, quite...)

Yes it's been a bad year. I had to go to the store and buy veggies yesterday. Usually by now I have enough to harvest to start saving for fall. Glad I don't have to rely on the garden to survive.
