Surviving Minnesota!

Looking for opinions/guidance: What’s the best time to process extra roosters? I mean how old/developed should they be? TIA!
In my opinion the proper time to process cockerels is when they are past the pin feather stage.

First they aren't innocent secondly I said when you want to kick them across the yard. :)

Roflmao!!

I give my roosters intensive therapy at the first sign of problems.

I actually am thinking of having a flock of all roosters and no hens.

without the troublesome female hormones there would be no squabbles of any kind.

I process around 16 wks. Others start at 12 weeks. They are more tender but I think the older have better flavor.
