Surviving Minnesota!

It compressed with the Sun on Monday. Tuesday was a bit slower on the melt. I hear rain overnight so that might do damage. We have a good foot yet I would say

Jerry I hope they test negative and if they don’t that the two meds are quick to treat.
My blue Ameraucana. My beautiful Miss Kitty is an internal layer. She is on last legs. If she’s not gone tomorrow AM I’ll put her down after work.
Horrible horrible condition for those hens.
So, so sad for your awful weather and your poor birdies.:hit That was us last year and it was horrible. Just would NOT stop coming down, and it stayed super cold, too. I feel bad about Miss Kitty. Poor thing.:hugs:hugs:hugs

Thanks Cindy: She's a beautiful bird from Jerry. I'm sure that's why she slowed up last spring. But then she bounced back. Sort of amazed by her. This spring's egg dump is getting to her.
She was alive this morning. But her legs are going. Pretty tippy. I'll have a job to do after work.
I see you guys had a streak of 60's out there! NICE! Can't wait for tomorrow and the rest of the week and weekend.

There's some water on the Lake. DS and DH took their trucks out there while they still can and did their yearly Under-carriage wash on the lake. :gig

Wow. So I made a run to work today and lots of snow in the ditches yet but the South facing up slopes are grass. It's slow melting again today. I think it will get to 33 by this late afternoon. But that's it. I saw a 50! for this coming Monday!!!!

I was looking ahead when I asked you about the snow cover. The sap is done running and will end Thursday night as that is the last below freezing temps in our forecast.

We have not had a good year. The temps were either above freezing day and night, or never got above freezing. I only have 3 gallons of syrup.

I am thinking of going to Togo to tap maple and birch trees and maybe get some more syrup.

I figured you were the closest one to Togo, to tell me snow depths.

Are you going to Togo Ralphie? I will tell you there is likely to be more snow than you think but it's going to go fast now Thursday on.

P. S. They closed all the Rainy River public accesses to keep the usual mad rush for Walleyes at bay.

should have read this first..before I replied.
