My cucumbers have their first blooms.Morning . So much to do and too hot to do much . Need to mow but mower is being a PITA . So I will work on it . It is like a revival . I will lay my hands on it and hope it heals . Just humor . Zuke and cucumbers starting to bloom . Hollyhocks in bloom . Raspberries are ripe and need picking . First crop of yellow transparent apples are ripe . Small crop . It is said yellow transparent is ripe at noon and rotten at midnight . Yes short window . Fond memories . Mom would say if you peel them I will make a pie when I get home from work . Hey pie is all I needed to hear .
I have wild strawberries growing right outside of the kitchen, The maximum size they ever get is about 1/4" in diameter. They do not have any sweetness to them at all. I treat them as an ornamental and allow them to grow for their pretty blossoms in the spring.The raspberries have begun to bloom. Two cups of wild gooseberries around here would be something to write home about, Bob.I did find three almost pea-sized wild strawberries a few days ago. They were amazing.
