On a slightly related topic, we have a pullet named Les Stroud. She has the only survivor of her hatch. The boys named her.

I love it!

I never knew he was having problems. I can certainly understand why he couldn't continue. I feel much better knowing it's his choice, not the Discovery Channel's.

I miss you, Les!

I thought about it, but then I knew nobody expects me to ever talk about chickens on here.

I saw that show about going off grid - I loved it! That takes a lot of guts for the whole family to move to 100+ acres of Canadian wilderness that gets cut off every winter! A modern pioneer story. At the end, I was thinking, "And then what happened?" I think they could've had a series there.

Yeah exactly, here too. I wanted a second or third episode. His wife probably said "hey Les, uhhh,"

. Having the entire family on tape must get heavy.

I guess that's true. Those kids were adorable. I loved the shots of them looking out of the upper windows in those old buildings. That house was tiny - I would've built onto the house instead of building a seperate cabin for more living space.

Sorry for the hijack, folks.
