Susans Hens

Oops, well again good morning
2 of my Pullets have become so friendly, since they have started laying. They are both becoming lap chickens. So much so that if I don’t offer a cuddle, when they approach I get a peck….and a hard peck at that. Here’s Mary Brown, and my eggs.
Today I’m going to make some more frozen treats. They seemed to like it. I’d like to find some time to coop clean as well. Found some Dolomite lime. Was going to put it on the ground under the shavings, but I’ll have to research whether it is recommended for coops.
hope everyone has a good day, after this year we all deserve it.
Good morning!
They must have been raised well! ;)
I love that name!
Yum! What do you make them?
Hope you have a great day as well! And yes, we do need it!:hugs:D

Yes I was for that and many other things. I miss him so much.
I’m sorry you lost him.:hugs

My father was in the police force for 30 something years as a homicide detective, won the Columbo award, and even made sergeant. He’s been retired for a long time now, I love him dearly.

Yesterday, I had planned on doing so much, but my day got hijacked again.
But one good thing did come out of it, we made a hinged door for my broody red neck. Here she is.

Are they electrolytes for chickens?
Yes, I bought a jar of it at the feed store, we are still selling cherries so they are in the coop/run most of the day, customers like them, but my 2 Ameraucauna hens like to peck if they are not picked up. The electrolytes help on hot days which we have had so many.

Well today I’m thinking about rescuing a barred rock rooster. A friend of my sister had to get three with her three hens she wanted. I’ll post a pic of the ones to choose from. If it’s ok, with hubby, I guess I’ll have to isolate him for a few days. My last Bach of cockerels are not crowing ! They are all of three months old. Hmmm…
