We learned today that we are no longer allowed to hold our monthly swaps at the Christiansburg Tractor Supply. So now we're shopping for a new home for the swap for that general area, with the intent of keeping the same weekend (1st Saturday of the month).

I plan to call Southern States in Christiansburg on Monday and another possible location in Floyd.

Does anyone have any other suggestions or comments for possible locations? We don't usually have a huge turnout, but probably 15-20 people selling most months, so we would need an area large enough to accommodate them. I pull a trailer since I no longer have the truck, as do 2-3 others some months.

proximity to a store that carries feed would be nice, but isn't really necessary. but how far 'off the beaten path' would people be willing to drive to go to a swap?

Not sure if this is close enough, but we do have a Tractor Supply Co in Harrisonburg which is right off I-81, also I would suggest trying the Rockingham County Fairgrounds if it's within your driving area. We aren't southwest technically but on 81/shenandoah valley. It takes me about an hour and 45 minutes to get to downtown Roanoke.

There is a Tractor and Supply store on RT 460 in Appomattox they have had swap meets in the past its less than an hr's drive from Roanoke
