Swedish Flower Hen Thread

One of my boys has started getting aggressive. He has been pulling the hens’ feathers and stepping up to my daughter and giving her side eye. He has been stomping his feet at her and at the dog too. So that is helping me decide which cockerels will be going in the pot lol The other boys are pretty calm.

Could I persuade you to hold fire on those decisions? In my experience (5 roos to date, and another in the making) they are all jerks when their hormones start flowing. Their true personalities will show only when that phase passes.

Well I found a breeder who wants 3 of my cockerels so they are safe from the pot now. But my daughter says she would rather eat the feisty one lol.

Here are a couple of recent pics. The Yellow/blue cockerel is molting so he has no tail!

I hope soThe pullets keep going into the coop in the daytime lately so I am hoping they are checking out the nesting boxes.
