How old are your babies, Sunny?
About 2-3 weeks. I got them on Valentine's, and they arrived with some wing feathers, making me think they were about 4 days old. I have one that is older that hatched locally, and that is Wasp.

They look terrific today. I'm very happy again. I will continue as I have been doing and continue with my biosecurity practices. But I can't wait to get them out of my house. They are getting big, shedding dust, making a daily mess in the brooder (XL dog crate) and noisy. I have a coop for them, but it's still cold here for quite a while. Have to wait until they are all feathered.

I'll see if I can get photos. They move fast!

Hope everyone is staying safe in the storm. We already have 4 inches here and hubby is off work; federal government closed for the day.

WOOHOO!!! i can now officially join you guys! LOL

I now have, sitting in the brooder behind me (because it's too icky outside to go find a place for them right now) 4 gorgeous SFH!!! 2 crested red/white/blue roos, 1 crested red/white/blue girl, and one uncrested blue/white girl. 8)

they are NOT gonna like this icky freezing rain/snow/crap we have going on right now, having just travelled from the balmy state of Alabama. LOL

Congratulations!! How old are they? Pics?

i was gettin' to it! give me a couple minutes!

blue and white uncrested hen (who wouldn't stand up like a normal chicken)
blue mille fleur crested hen (or should be when she's growed up)
black neck crested roo
red neck crested roo. ok make your jokes... think i like him best. 8)

They are all beautiful! That blue looks like my Inga did!

Looks like all 4 have blue? We may have to trade back and forth for some different crosses. Crossing my splash girl with one of your boys with blue and we could get some more splash babies (a lot of folks really like them).

Quote: I was kinda hoping you'd be willing to take one of the roos maybe? 8) black neck is the one i was thinking of... i may just keep the crested girl with redneck for now with the blue, and see what develops from the eggs that are hatching (3 pipped as of this morning)

i don't know why i'm having such lag on these guys... except maybe because of the drop in humidity that happenned right at day 21. (blaming the weather). but i managed to get it kickstarted back up asap...
