We're sending all our excess stored food northward, thanks to my amazing co-workers organizing a drive. God bless.

Quote:Spifflovelol so I guess conservatives and Christians aren't allowed to be generous? such a sad world some people live in...![]()
Amazingly enough, many "tweeters" were attacking anyone that was sending help if they were "conservative" or "Christian". It was really ugly out there last night I hear.
Sometimes I wonder what's wrong with people that makes them think and behave that way.![]()
God bless all those that are sending help!
and people wonder why I don't 'tweet'...
Sorry for your loss, you are deffinatly not alone...Hey everyone, my immediate family and friends were well out of the terrible storm on Monday afternoon. Thanks you for thinking of me. My heart is breaking for the families who lost children. The very best in communities and people come out at times like these and many, many efforts are in place to aid those in need. My own loss seems both at once too small and yet too hard to talk about just now. Late last evening a very big storm came through our area. A stray Husky broke into the big pen and took down all my adult SFH plus a little Ameracauna that lived with them. I do have some babies from those sweet birds but I'm going to miss them so much. I'm going to lurk a little less for a little while. I need some time.Hope all are doing well.
Best,
Cathie Sue

sorry for everyone's losses... what is it that puts a bulls eye over the favorites?
To cheer everyone up, photos of BLACK SFH babies in the AM. I picked up two blacks and one gray (no other description fits) from H & H in PA this afternoon, about 2 hours from me. The mother hen of the two is black. The third has a mother that is gray. I suppose technically she is dark blue, but she really is steel gray. Rooster is dark. I have hopes for black ones. The chicks are passed out cold, and I don't want to bother them right now for photos.
Thankfully your home and family were spared. As for the loss of your flock, it's a personal loss that only other chicken loving peeps "get".
