Swedish Flower Hen Thread

Here are pictures of my SFH pullet "Flo"
She came from eggs from CarolJ

She only runs, everywhere, & appears to be the dumbest most clumsy erratic chicken ever,
never goes directly into the pen w/ the others at night, has to run 1-3x around the entire thing first like she can't find the door.
BUT when a predator got into the pen (not this pen, I moved the survivors) she was in the 3 who were fine, rather than the 3 who got eaten.
So I figure all that zig zag running "crazy act" might just be not so idiotic as it looks...

Anyway, here are some pics. what do ya'll think as far as breeding stock qualities?

Here she is "helping" me clean the Turkey pen today, along w/ a CL pair hatchmates (the other survivors "Prince" & "Victoria")

Here is one outside w/ better light

Its funny, only in the photos do I notice she has a solid white wing feather, in real life she never holds still enough to notice it!

Here's is a few pics. I have extra Roos if anyone has an interest.

Looking for any comments/opinions on this sfh kiddo. It is 8 weeks old and I thought a girl.

She has started running around and bumping chests with one of the other mixed breed chicks of her age. The way she hunkers down then runs and gets upright right in front of the other chick is just like her dad did when he was little.

Here she/he is at 8 weeks:
What do y'all think...girl or boy? Do the girls run around like the guys and bump chests in your experience?
(The stuff on her chest is fermented feed and dirt/wood chip debris from being in the run.)

Here's the dad at 7 weeks and the mom at 9 weeks:

LOL one thing I notice immediately... crest + crest = POOF!

as for sex, i'd lean to roo, since it looks like I see some pink in the comb/wattles developing. can always hope i'm wrong.

Yes...I DO NOT like the crest...and really want mostly non-crested birds. This hatching was unplanned as I thought I had gotten the uncrested girl's egg and got Gray's egg by mistake.

So far you're the first to guess roo... Would the coloring be different on a roo than a pullet? Of course, at 8 weeks a lot can change. And the papa didn't have much of a tail at that age either. But he did have much larger comb and wattles.

Here's dad at 9 weeks: (And bio mom way in the back at 9 weeks)

Leah's Mom: I'm going to guess pullet based on comb and lack of wattles. What do the saddle feathers look like?

I've had dominant hens that challenged her hatchmates until she was top dog and later even roosters in the flock.

Cute, but that's not pouf! This is pouf (Mottled Houdan pullet)

I love those cresties!

I just sent her a pm a couple days ago with no response. But...a couple months ago she told me that her internet isn't always stable so it could just be internet.
