Swedish Flower Hen Thread

well, I hope I finally made good on the Flowers I sold, I got ahold of the girl and she came over and picked out one of the gray pullets she had originally liked anyways and I gave her the barred cockerel as well.  So rid of the mutt boy, a cute but mutt pullet and one pair of Swedish Flower Hens for $25.  I always take it rear ended when dealing with chickens or eggs.
Lesson learned:  Always post pics and get expert advise BEFORE selling anything.  :/
:hugs we all start somewhere. It is a hard lesson to learn. If I don't know for 100% certainty that what I have is pure I always post pics and get opinions. For example, I have a splash cockerel that hatched this year. His legs look off in color but I know he came from my Swedish flowers. He will not be going back into the gene pool. I gave him away as a mixed breed cockerel and never evwn mentioned the words Swedish flowers.

Here are progressive pictures of our latest SFH from 3 days old to 2.5 weeks old. Hopefully this will give some insight as to how others chicks will grow up!

I will try to update them as they grow older.

ETA: You can see the whole line up together in larger size on my BYC page!

I like how you did this, it's cool. I'm reading the whole thread and am on page 49....

are there any other SFH people on this thread from Michigan besides me???

I live in Delton. It is between Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo. I've been reading your recent posts. I think you did just fine in the way you handled the chicken sale, learning of the mistake, and making it right. Your honesty was commendable.

aww shucks! thanks you guys. I just believe in a higher power and I know HE sees all.
I believe I made my buyer very happy, she left as a friend and promised she'd stop by with pics in the future. She was smiling all the way.
Don't know if I'll hear from the lady I bought from, but that's okay, I let her know, nicely.
Happy Daze!!

GR is a nice big town. I liked it when there. Had to take my hubby there for surgery @ Butterworth and he was in for about 4 days. I browsed all the halls looking at all the artwork, it's fabulous. Then one day I headed out and toward town a bit and found a little antique store to look thru.
My first hubbys family lived there when he was younger as his dad went to Baptist College there someplace. Some of them are still over there. I know, TMI.
