swedish males

hey everyone. i have rescued a blue swedish duckling about 6 months ago. it has grown a ton and i still can't tell if it is a male or female. it does not have the curly tail feather but im not sure if they all have to have one in order to be a male. it also has an olivey green bill and has bright orange on its feet splashed. anyone have any idea for this particular breed??? any help is great!! thanks!!

You got a pic of it? I've found with my swedes the drakes tend to be darker. And my swedes were slow to grow there drake feathers.

Mine were slow to get their drake feathers too, but by now you should be able to tell by their quacks. If it quacks, it's a girl. If the feet are bright orange though, my guess would be male - but that's just a guess.

Duh the quack I should of thought of that. The drakes sound like they're losing there voice.

i will go out now and get a picture

give me about 5 min to get one and put it up. and it does quack but not as loud as my girl duck i already have. and sounds different.

Wow - hard to say but it looks just like my drake. I'm going to guess male - he's beautiful!

I'd say drake but swedes aren't the easiest ever if I could hear it I could tell you.

i honestly hope he is a male. i want to breed my pekin duck and him lol id love to see what id get!!
