Sweet, friendly, buff orpington roos

Just thinking out loud, I guess. Thank you for the encouragement! If it wasn't 100+ degrees I'd work on this tomorrow. But my girls are gonna start laying soon and I want everybody settled. :/

If you want more info you could look at my thread "Rooster Flocks!" In Managing Your Flock.

I finally figured out how to link threads, lol. Here it is: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/rooster-flocks.1174877/

Thank you! I am considering it. 3 of my 4 are still sweet. Only 1 problem child. They would need their own space tho, right? Would that change their behavior toward each other? If there was no feminine influence? (Lol) I could possibly pull this off, but my helpers are sooo... not dependable. I have 6 hens in a separate coop that I could move to the big coop and give the roos their smaller coop. I just have to solve the flight issue. *sigh* And space. These guys are used to having a big yard to run in. They'd lose that if I switch everybody around.

Yes, the roosters would fight much less without any hens around! They usually fight over mating rights, but with no hens around roos can be much calmer.

Thanks the link! I've been over there reading, and just left a lengthy post, lol. I think I'm going to give this a try. Truth be told I'm really just trying to find a way to make room for more chickens :/

*there. I said it. Lol
