SWINE FLU PANDEMIC? Mx, NY, TX, KS...

Hubby has already told me that if it hits us my daughter and I will be on quarantine in our home... He runs the lab at the hospital here so he knows everything that goes into the flu virus and all of the logisitcs, he is greatly concerned, but not panicked yet

Ooo. Not good news. Makes you wonder if could EVER be like Stephen Kings "The Stand", huh?
I guess there is no good in panicking though, just have to wait and see how this all pans out and take what precautions we are able to.

Edited to say: The flu is now in Alabama! Think how many folks are at the race in Tdega spreading this thing!

I don't see how that would be an issue- i guess i am thinking in terms of other types of birds, would they take say parakeets? Our best bet is to take a deep breath and don't let people near our birds...


just heard, Ohio, Alabama and Canada.....and the us has declared a public health emergency- wonder how that affects normal people?
