My 1st concert was either to see Boston, "3rd Stage" OR Jethro Tull "Crest of the Knave" at the Irvine Meadows Ampitheater, we sat ~20 rows back from the stage.... In the cannabis fog zone. Don't recall who opened for either of them.

I was never much of a concert goer either but I did grow up in a musical family that had a band that played weekly dances in the late 70’s and 80’s
