Switch now or finish the bag first?(Food)

Because I assumed our bantam hen Mouse was going to raise the single duckling, I had bought Flock Raiser crumbles and kept a Niacin supplement on hand(for duckling) . However since she ended up rejecting it an hour after it hatched on Friday and yesterday my dad had bought 2 female WH ducklings, I was wondering if I should keep feeding them the FR crumbles until it's almost empty and then buy & switch to duck pellets to crush up or buy the pellets now and switch.

The FR crumbles is a 5lb bag that I bought & opened on Friday while the duckling was still finishing up hatching.

Wilco sells 5 & 40lb bags of Duck pellets that I can crush up into a crumble form for the ducklings.

mix it slowly until you are feeding just the duck pellets, so the switch is easier for him

personally i think you should buy a duckling starter (mannapro duckling/gosling starter or mazuri waterfowl starter) because it’s the best for ducklings, then u could get the duck pellets when they are older

I normally crush up pellets for our ducks when they're ducklings. Those brands you listed aren't usually available here or are usually out when I go to buy them. I also prefer the pellets anyway
