tail down, lethargic , drinking.

No there is nothing clear leaking from her vent ( white poop on there now) and she does not seem to be pushing on her vent either.
But she just pooped again and it was a foamy yellow color not the clear liquid with green globs. I had to hold her up so she could drink from the water can. Although I did put water dishes in the cage with her she preferred to drink from the normal water can.
She seemed cheerful although not willing to walk. I just don’t understand why she’s so weak. I tried to give her cat food
But none of my chickens would eat it. I was able to get her to eat the vitamin supplements,1/2 a B complex and E and some fresh cod today. ..I think she may have nibbled on her Dry food.
I don’t understand what’s going on,can it really Sll be caused by molting . She has most of her feathers in now, I hope she makes it.
I carried her to the perch in the coop for the night.

Tonight’s newest poo. Stinks to holy hell too.

Do you have a vet you could take a poop sample to for a fecal float? That would remove a lot of this guess work. If you have the budget for it, you can also get a gram stain test on the poop for the presence of bacterial infection. These tests would provide us with a lot of direction.

Simply tossing some Corid at her or a wormer or an antibiotic is like shooting in the dark hoping to hit something. A waste of time for the most part when she's sick and needs the right kind of help.

Relapse.... Back into the kennel with food and water. Limping, diarrhea. Hungry, (eating when kenneled because food is closer) ,..very thirty.

Her poop this AM. I slid this bucket under her last night so I could check in the morning.

She is limping again, waddling and walking in a low odd position. Mainly, she just lies in a squatting position. Eats. Drinks. Wants to be with her friends but seems tired.

If she wasn’t coming out of a molt, I’d think stuck egg but none of my chickens have Laid eggs for a month

omelet is the only one that is walking oddly ( like a baby with a dirty diaper!).

Could she have worms ?!?!?!??
I have powdered ( safeguard ) fenbendazole. 4 grams pouch.
I'm sorry she had a relapse!

Getting a fecal float to check for worms is always best, but sometimes that's not possible. I don't really see worms in the poop, but it might be a good idea.
She is almost out of molt? Fenbendazole can be used, but it might cause fret/stress marks on any new feathers coming in - it's a good dewormer, but it's not recommended to use it during molt. That said, if that's what I had I would use it.
Valbazen is another very good dewormer - you likely would need to order that.

I don't know how you would mix the powdered fenbendazole to be honest - I've only dealt with paste and liquid. If you have a photo of the package, we can find out though if that's something you want to do.

I might also treat her for Coccidiosis as well. Do you have any Corid?

The squatting is concerning to me - she may be having some reproductive problems (sometimes these can cause limping as well). For some reason, I was thinking she was a young pullet. Walking like she's got a dirty diaper - does her abdomen below the vent between the legs feel swollen or fluid filled?

thank you .
Her belly doesn’t feel squishy. Just normal. She feels light
I can feel that v below her chest.
She is chatty up a storm ... soft baby jibberish to me.
Tomorrow I’ll try to get a video of her walking .. but it’s a squatting wobble.
The other chickens seem to be doing really well. 1/2 in molt,... but acting normal. She , omelet, is almost fully feathered.
Here is a photo of the canine wormer I have on hand. ... till after Christmas is over. I do have corid on hand . As to the fecal float ~ the vets here only do fancy stuff. No floats unless they charge you $200 for a first exam.
Crazy. So much for being animal lovers.

I thought this might be a worm ...? I’m not a chicken poop expert. Dogs — maybe. Not good with chickens. Wah

@casportpony might know......I thought it just looked like strings of mucus/urates.
Were they moving?
Did you pick at them at all to see consistency(solid or more liquid)?

Here is a photo of the canine wormer I have on hand....
She would also probably be able to tell you if this is appropriate and how to calculate a dosage.
