tail down, lethargic , drinking.

I would also recommend soaking the feet in Epsom salts. That could help soothe and promote healing. Take some new pictures. Apply some antibiotic ointment to the feet beofre applying a new dressing. We still don’t really know what the cause is of the feet problems, so pictures of the whole ffet and ankles and the foot pads would be helpful. Several things have been discussed on your thread, from frostbite, gout, mycoplasma joint infection, and bumblefoot.

Can you post some photos of what the feet look like now?

She seemed in good spirits today when we started. picking on the seeds I put on the counter to distract her.
But, I couldn’t get photos becuz I left my phone too far from our “ surgical “ area. And I was alone.

Two of the lumps still had a little creamy puss inside. I squeezed out what could. Soaked her feet in warm water. squirted on a little liquid clindamycin I had on hand and rewrapped with a little triple antibiotic on the inside of the dressing.
she seemed exhausted after this so I gave her 1/4 of a 325 aspirin , and another dose of amoxicillin and put her back in the kennel .
she had runny poo while I did this. Color of fresh spinach and shaped like chicken food pellets mixed with liquid !
Weird.
I’m mentally exhausted from all
This.
Her foot pads and the rest of her leg and ankles look well. No blackening or redness. No swelling.
Looks very much like an earlier photo.
Old photos but not much change. One is the foot pad. One is the incision site after 1 day.
Green wrapped foot is just now. I grabbed her for a quick photo.

Something very bad has happened. Yesterday all my 5 chickens were fine....they went outside, I let them out to roam 2-3 times a day while stand guard. Omelet is till kenneled and on antibiotics. No change. but my Jubilee orphinton keeled over...dead this morning . I have a video camera in there....she was fine yesterday. Eating drinking, chasing me for treats. Fine at 6 AM today...dead at 7.
WTH.

That stinks! :hugs
Could be completely coincidental and not connected to your sick bird.

I hope so. I can’t take much more of this. I. Starting to think I am not cut out to be a chicken owner.
I have a second chicken that I bought as a chick with Omelet. I say they are sisters, they look alike. Her name is Penelope. when I was checking them today, I noticed this redness on her beak. I don’t recall seeing it before. I might be getting paranoid now.
I hope you tell me it looks normal.

I found an older photo. Her beak was red then too. Whew.

Oh no, I am sorry for your loss. Since she died for no apparent reason, I would get a necropsy by your state vet to see what was wrong. Here is a link for your state vet:

I wanted to that but DH says No. we aren’t supposed to have more than 3 chickens. ... and he doesn’t want the city coming here and poking around. I buried her after I thoroughly inspected her for “ obvious” signs but nothing jumped out. She was mid - hard molt.
This was her last night — happy as always.

I'm so sorry:hugs

I see you have already buried her. If you happen to lose another one in a short period of time and sending the body to your state lab is not possible, if you can bring yourself to do it, a lot of times doing your own can give you answers. It's not for everyone, but if that's something you can do, post some photos and we will try to help you with what you see.
