Taking Games Jokes and Fun out of Recent Posts Listing?

I believe Niffty said is was possible to seperate the recent topics.

I would like to see the social and poultry recent topics seperate, I enjoy socialising just as much as the rest of the forum, but it gets very tiresome when you are limited on time to sift throught all the new posts that pop up as recent. By dividing the recent posts section, this would allow you to view both sections, but with out the clutter of the other!

I was also going to suggest a "Youth Forum", with possibly a "Youth Moderator". Hopefully, it would be perceived as recognizing the needs of today's youth and giving them a space of their own, and not as segregating them. But again, the "Youth Forum" would need to have it's own "Recent Topics - Youth Forum".

Naw I disagree with segregating or allowing any group to segregate- especially based on age- I went hunting in the GJ&F many of those post are by ppl older then me. (I am over two decades but under four decades) - I don't see it helping any.

No one is suggesting anything other than not having the zillion Games threads dominate the Recent posts page. That's all it is, please read the original post carefully.

There is no talk of getting rid of anyone of any age or segregating them. Just trying to find a way to make chicken friendly posts more accessible, instead of having them constantly pushed back by the Games.

The Games posts tend to be really frequent, and it makes it harder to find posts related to backyard chickens.

No, I'm not missing the point at all. I joined a poultry site......not a game site. I don't mind the social side of it to a certain point.....I've made some good friends here. I'm just tired of the younger crew using it for their own personal game site.....and some very pointless games at that. Most of them, there are a few exceptions, seem to have little or no interest at all in chickens, ducks or anything else with feathers. One of them has well over 5000 posts ....probably closer to 6000 by now and last week when I counted only 15 of those posts had anything to do with poultry.

Before a huge fight starts, I'm going to give you my view on this.

If you read my posts, you will see that I did not even glimpse at the Social forum until about October. My first post was last July. I did not have chickens until this June. So the fact I mostly stuck to the social forum unless I saw something interesting or a chance to somehow help someone, was not exactly my fault.

I know who you are talking about and if he find this he'll be devestated. If you ONLY want info on chickens, buy a book.
