UPDATE: Our injured goose has been back to the vet twice now. Her wound is getting better altho not totally healed. She still does not use the leg and Doc says her muscles had atrophied. It's very doubtful she will ever gain use of it. She is excerising her wings and practicing getting around with the one leg. She would like nothing better than to take flight and land in the pond. As soon as she heals I will let her.
When I take her to the vet she is so good. I get real close to her face, hold her wings down and she goose kisses my ears, face, neck and chest, all the while the doctor is getting in the wound to clean it out. She is soooo sweet.
