Tape worms, I Believe?

The 10 mg/kg dose
weight in pounds divided by 2.2, times 10, divide by 140.3 = dose in ml

1 pound:
1 / 2.2 x 10 / 140.3 = ~0.033 ml

2 pounds:
2 / 2.2 x 10 / 140.3 = ~0.065 ml

3 pounds:
3 / 2.2 x 10 / 140.3 = ~0.1 ml

4 pounds:
4 / 2.2 x 10 / 140.3 = ~0.13 ml

etc.
Wow, thank you so much!
You rock! Thank you!!
(I just bought the Equimax)

On a side note, what is best for treating tapeworms in a large flock in the water specifically?
Is it safeguard Aquasol?

Aquasol is fenbendazole and does not treat tapeworms. If one wants to treat a large flock by putting it in the water they should buy some fish praziquantel.

Thank you!

Is it Prazipro for Aquarium, in a 4-Ounce bottle?

How much weight in chickens would that cover?

No, you need a powder. The Hikari site says "<5% Praziquantel". How much less than is it? I don't trust anything that does not list the actual medication as mg/ml.
Thank you!
Are you able to direct me to a specific product?
I have 53 birds in my other coop, and want to do a preventative dose. And I want to do it in the water.

Thank you! How do you dose it?
I'll re-weigh them to check flock weight (since I added some birds). It should be around 150 lbs total. Do I dose twice? Like how normally it's dose twice 10 days apart.
On the Equimax I only dosed once, because that's what I was under the impression was correct.
I noticed the product you recommended had dose in 10 gallons of water and it was 48 hours apart, which I'm thinking is not correct for chickens.

How many ml of praziquantel, per how many pounds of chicken is the dose?

How many times? One dose only, or 1 dose 10 days apart, or another way?

And how much in how much water?

Does anyone know the answers these?
I appreciate any help. 🙏
I'm thinking my 53 birds probably have the tapeworms, because they roam the same area as the ones that did.
Thank you!

No, that has metronidazole in it.
Thank you! How do you dose it?
You would not use that one.

You need to repeat in 10-14 days.

I have some powdered praziquantel. Let me see where we got that from.

I use this product which can be diluted in water. The gel is quite thick and smells awful, so you would need to mix it very well

Not all birds will have tapeworm in a flock. The chickens need to have ingested the tapeworm host themselves : snail, mice, flies or whatever. The cycle is different from that of round worms where they will catch it by ingesting worms from their flock mates feces.
I treat individually and only when I'm sure a bird had tapeworm.

Ok, I saw tapeworms in a random poo when my bantams (the 53 birds) were roaming the outside area where they all get turns roaming. I have a very large amount of bugs around (mostly cockroaches, but also pill bugs, slugs, and beetles, and of course flies), so the chances of them eating bugs that possibly have tapeworm eggs could be quite high.
I was hoping to do a preventive in the water.
I clean up poo daily, and don't let it get nasty, but it's a lot of birds. So there a lot of poo. I do see wet poops in that coop.
