I couldn't find one so I thought I'd start a Tarantula thread for posting pictures and talking about our 8 legged friends!

Oh wow they all look so lovely! I had someone qive me a tarantula when I was younger, said they didnt want it any more, so I kept it. It only lived for a few more months though.
 
I have only 2 now, but will share pics of my former collection...
I had about 42 at one time.

Neat spiders!

Can they bite you? I see a lot of people who keep them as pets holding them but I was never sure if they are just tame or they can't bite.

Yes, they most definitely can bite! Some species are more docile ( and more handable) than others. And the New World species can kick hairs which irritate you skin and can damage your eyes!
