Tatanka Breeders Club: Meat Quail project with history, discussion, pictures and videos

Just a couple of random figures on the 30 that we hatched:

Birth weights on two 10 and 12 grams

14 day weights on two: 110 grams and 116 grams

These are random weights--are they good?

Not only good, but ****** good. A couple of keepers there. A few more and you will have the foundation stock that you need to start building buffaloes of your own in short time.

16 chicks out as of this morning.. a couple more are pipped

weights have been ranging between 8 grams (1 chick), 9 grams (2 chicks), 10 grams (9 chicks) and 11 grams (4 chicks)

and if it helps any...
egg markings:
S 7 (2 were S20)
W 6
C 3

S = splits, my biggest birds from the brown/white crosses
W= White roo over brown hens gives you splits
C= Roux Cockbird over split hens

so glad you got some to hatch, the "S" and "W" birds should be your offensive lineman...
