Tattoos

How big is the tattoo? What is it? That would be really cool to incorporate a pink ribbon into it!

I love tattoos! I have an ichthys on my right shoulder and an ambigram of my oldest daughter's name on my left arm. Planning on getting two more this summer. My second daughter was born last october so I'm getting her name on my left arm too and my wife and I are considering getting something together. Very addicting!

Definitely don't buy a small one just because of the price. You don't want to get stuck with something that might look good now but start to look like a dark blob later when the color fades and bleeds.

I have a cousin that is a tattoo artist that I had him do my first tattoo. Wasn't a tattoo that I had planned out ahead of time since it was a surprise visit or I would of had a custom piece done. I went down to visit with my parents for a couple weeks and he had just opened his shop in a new location due to problems with the person he was renting from. Well my step dad wanted a tattoo and knew I always wanted one so he called him up and my cousin was just sitting around cause most of his client's didn't know where he moved to since the landlord took his sign down about the location. Well my step dad knew what he wanted so he was first while I got to go through a ton of pictures till I found something.

After an hour of searching I spotted a blue Asian style dragon head. I have always loved reptiles of any sort and the color blue since I was young. I at least knew it wasn't something that I had only been interested in for a while that I would hate later. I told him that I wanted that one but without the red flame around the head (wasn't sure how bad it would hurt and if I wanted to add more later). He then asked me what size. Due to me loving art and tattoos I spent years of online tattoo searching images and knew the bigger would be better for details especially as the body ages. I decided to have it on the side of my right calf but up higher than my ankle since I would like to add a body to it later. I also don't wear shorts to often since I prefer pants so it isn't something that shows often.

It has been two years since I got it done and still I love it. Last year I went to visit my parents again and seen my cousin at the same time since his dad was also visiting. Him and his dad was impressed with how well mine still looked. I kept it out of the sun so I have white skin and the colors have barely faded. I did get to see him do a tattoo on his dad while I was visiting which was nice.

Here is a picture of mine within a week after getting it done. It isn't as bright now but still seems to held up well. The size is 3 1/2" wide and 3" tall.

Not a chicken but a blue bird. This one cost me $80 plus a $25 tip. It says Tilly which is my youngest daughter's name. I have a few others but can't find the pics for them... I want to get a tat of my Frizzle Cinnamon. I think it would make for an awesome tat.
