Tax miles/not gas??

I'd love to vote in a cost of living raise that is around $3400.00. they do have the right to vote against it. Which according to this article,they did until 2000.

I think they could/should use prisoners to help with the road work, and other labors, not just to pick up trash. I am not trying to be critical of anyone in prison, I know people who have been there, and some needed it and some could have used a different form of punishment, but working like this would give some of them a possible job requirement when they get out, and give them some pride for actually having training in something. Around here they do mow the cemeteries and lightweight jobs. I guess the state is afraid they will get hurt and sue the state. . .wouldn't be able to get much after the nutty gov. we just impeached was done blowing our state budget to smithereens. . . .
