Every kid has a teacher they hate. Most of the time though, when you grow up a little, you realize they were probably THE BEST TEACHER you had.

I respect my elders, my 5th period teacher is just about the same age as the detention wretch but very sweet and she has a good heart. She told us one day that kids were going to her back room to get water and they wouldn't even ask or say thank you afterwards. Terrible that people would be so rude to someone who gives alot of kindness. That doesn't happen anymore and I'm glad that it doesn't. She gave a good talking to all her classes about the situation. She's the nicest teacher ever! And gets alot of respect from almost everyone. My mom even brought in sodas and lots of cases of water for her and my 6th period teacher.
She's an animal lover too. She has horses!

Horses and some doggies. I love all my cool teachers. My english teacher yells quite a bit, but I never talk unless asking a question so I don't get yelled at. I just do my work in there. Math teacher is a boring chump, P.E. teacher is pretty cool, History teacher is cool and is friends with everybody, all the good teachers come around when you're an upper classman.

If I get another detention because detention wretch thought a piece of paper was a real phone, the good, because I have the book Frankenstein to go over and study. Everything Victor says or does is so boring but when The Creature started telling his story it gets intresting. Odd how he stalked a little cottage family though.. But he was just curious. I like the Creature, he seems nice.

Wouldn't be the first time I was told that. I tend to agree. I still say the OP was wrong, and I don't tolerate disrespect to any adults from any children I come into contact with. It's a HUGE pet peeve with me.


Moochie, you say you respect your elders, but based on your posts on this thread you do not. I was raised you respect your Elders whether you agree with them or not. That's true respect.

From what I was reading you get detention for being disruptive (talking/socializing/whatever), being late, etc.

It's okay if you guys have mixed opinions or feelings about the trick. I still like it. Don't start such a huge fuss over it though.

This wasn't supposed to be some war or rage thread.

I didn't know what that there was word such as pedophile when I was 10. I just knew from other kids' chatter what "kiddie weirdos" were. I admire your guys' attempt to scold me about what I did 7 years ago, but I was just a little hamster back then. Not like kids at that age today don't do it. We all learn and grow up little by little. I still can't believe she walked off with it. It was as thin as two pieces of paper taped to eachother. Not heavy like a cellphone at all! Weird.

The best teacher I'm going to have will be next year. Good ol' senior english teacher. Did you know that if you don't turn your assignments in on the day they are due he will call your parents about it on the spot, right there, in front of everyone? Good teacher IMO. That will teach the slackers not to skip assignments with due dates. I was in his class for english freshman year. I never had to go through that because I turned in my work. Seriously some kids won't even do 20 problems, twenty, that's it. Sheesh.

Sounds to me like she probably didn't think it was an Iphone...just a distraction from what you were actually supposed to be doing. I have an IPhone. Hard to mistake it for paper.

I do and I don't I guess. If there's oldies in a bus the oldies sit down before I do, or maybe I don't even sit, whatever is best for the fellow with artiritis and his wife with.. whatever bone or joint problems there are other than artiritis.
I get what y'all are saying. It's getting through to me. But what already has been done has been done. Detention lady thought a piece of paper was a cellphone, and in my perspective, her and I are on even ground. Immaturely make fun of me for asking how much time was left and I will immaturely have you think that a piece of paper is a cellphone. As an 11th grader who still plays tag and plays in those playhouses at McDonalds (the only reason I go there) what I did doesn't suprise me.
I can be mature when appropriate. If there's a fire I'm not going to stand in a corner playing a banjo singing "oh jesus how i love ya jeeessuuus", no, I'll be trying to get the people I care about out of the fire and then get myself out.
