I found a FABULOUS wooden screen door for our chicken coop (that we're building from scratch) from our local Habitat For Humanity ReHome store . . . it's wonderful, it already has some screen netting stuff on it (we're going to put the hardware cloth on the outside, over the screen), it's built *just* like the coop plans, except now *we* don't have to build one --
-- , it's ready for the outdoors, it's got pretty little extra touches on it, and its color is even a reasonable approximation of the stain we've been using!
And get this . . . it was still in its original packaging. And do you know how much they charged me for it? TEN DOLLARS. That was it. Granted, we're going to have to chop off about 8" in the middle, 'cause it's about that much too high, but still, what a steal!
Oh, and I also found a wonderful high-end vinyl remmnant for the coop floor that is 6'x5' in lovely neutral colors (shades of tan, occasionally deepening to cherry or lightening to grey), also at the HfH ReHome store . . . for $12. We need a 6'x3' piece of vinyl, so this works out perfectly.
I love a good bargain.
Also, the dog's poop firmed up today and she got her appetite back (you dog owners out there can relate, I'm sure!), I got a new cell phone without any hassle whatsoever (always a plus!) and my spaghetti sauce for dinner turned out very nice.
And, we have radish sprouts! A lot of radish sprouts . . . LOL!
Work went well, and I got a full workout at the gym today (40 minutes on the treadmill, 20 minutes strength training and ball work).
Lots of good stuff going on around here.
