Tell me the chicken coop is the only place you wear Crocs

EllyMae, thanks! You are so sweet, and that's a very nice offer... But I was really just window shopping. No need to take a pic.

They are NOT clownish! I am tall, skinny, and smokin' sexy in my Crocs. Your boyfriends and husbands would agree.

(That was a joke, people)

This is so amazing - I thought I was the only one who wore $30.00 crocs in the coop!
I love my crocs. I have the coop pair, another pair for the house, and a pair of the croc flip-flops as well. My podiatrist and everyone in her office wear crocs! They are, however, no good for outdoor/lawn work.
As for Keens, I love them best of all, as ugly as they are!

It's a good thing for me that I live in South Florida, because I do NOT like to wear shoes. They make my feet feel like they're suffocating. I have an assortment of rubber soccer slides (I don't even like thongs with straps that go inbetween my toes) in various stages of wear that all live in piles by each door. They're so easy to slip on & off whenever I go outside, no need to bend & buckle or tie.

I wear them everywhere, in the yard & in town. I don't like to wear shoes indoors, it feels weird to me, and also makes the floors dirtier. They clean up real nice with a squirt from the hose, and dry off in the sun. You all do what you wish, but I would not want to put footwear that sees the chicken coops & duck pens in my dishwasher.

I have a couple of pairs of the bo-bo crocs from the big box stores but don't wear them as much, even they confine my feet too much. But my latest pair is made with several thin rubber straps instead of the solid rubber with the round holes, and they feel more breezy.

Like the pricey Birkenstocks of old and the many bo-bo brands that followed them, I imagine the authentic Crocs would feel more comfy & wear better. If it were in my budget I probably would buy them, until then, it's the bo-bo brands for me & my feet.

Just had to say . . . I read through the first couple of pages and thought it was funny. I remember in high school the teachers would go over the dress code with us, and one rule was no thongs. An awkward look would pass amongst us students, and inevitably one of the braver ones would ask, in all sincerity, "But how do you know if we're wearing thongs?"
I guess it's a generational thing or something . . . my class mates and I know them as flip flops, and it was always VERY disturbing to hear the teachers talk about cracking down on our under clothes

I have a knock-off pair for each coop, and a "clean" pair for the house. We have hard floors, and slippers just weren't cutting it... feet hurt all the time. I got some Airwalks... I won't wear them in public any more than I'd wear my slippers, but the fact that you can just hose them off...

I love my Crocs and wear them to work occasionally (only on days when I know I'm going to be out of the office, moving stuff from one storage unit to the other or something like that.) They are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn.

Mine are the blueberry Mary Janes.

Oh my gosh, I have like 7 pairs of Crocs and LOVE them. The coops are the only place I do NOT wear them, due to the poop and sand going in the holes, etc. I have every color and wear either them or my flip flops. I am a nurse and when I worked they were the ONLY shoes that didn't kill my feet. I must say however, that Crocs are NOT shoes that you want to wear to work around the farm in. I have had nails come through the bottom, a piece of tin cut open the back of my heel, and lumer fall on my toes. You'd think I'd learn after the first nail, but they are so darn quick and easy to put on and to take off, that I forget to put my boots on before starting chores.

Don't you guys remember when doctors and nurses wore leather shoes that looked like crocs? That's because they are comfortable for people on their feet all day. If you buy the genuine $30.00 Crocs (not Avon. walmart. Payless. or flea market) your feet will not sweat, get fungus, or hurt your posture. I have 2 pairs of the wide ones, and found a beautiful pair of wedge heel sandals (narrow looking) that I wore to Punta Cana this spring. They are called Sassari & the color is chocolate/gold.
Go to shopcrocs.com and see the dozens of styles they have. And they're not all UGLY!!

I have one more clog type shoe to add to the list--Jolly garden shoe. I wear mine every day and everywhere outside. They have a cork insole that can be removed and cleaned if necessary and the heel is a bit higher than crocs I think. Keeps my feet dry in sloppy mud. I love mine and even talked DH into a pair. Now he wouldn't trade his plus my granddaughter is starting to steal mine for quick trips outside. They are a bit pricey, but last for several years--mud, snow, poop and anything else I might step in. They are great!!
