TELL US ABOUT YOUR DAY

My daughter (age 2) had a filling done in a tooth she'd chipped (her being her, it's amazing only one is chipped.) The dentist came out specifically to say how awesome she was and how she was gonna be his easiest patient of the day (she was the first of the day.) This tidbit is not in chronological order - it's just the highlight.

My great-uncle died (age related illness, but he was influential for me, inspiring a love of travel and way more optimism than was merited), one of my mom's co-workers died (just saw him 2 weeks ago - we weren't close, but I've kept up with his antics for about a decade now), and a 4-year-old friend-of-a-friend died in a car wreck (I have a 4 year old boy and a husband with terrible driving habits.)

I didn't sleep at all last night because my daughter couldn't eat/drink after midnight and had skipped dinner. I woke up my husband at 3 AM so I could get some sleep before driving an hour to my daughter's appointment - she just screamed and he just sat with her outside the bedroom door. I gave up at 3:45 and took her for a long car ride.

My husband got home from work and took a nap (about an hour and a half) while my daughter napped on my lap.

I discovered there is no pizza delivery to our new house.

My husband took my daughter with him to pick up pizza at the local (completely and totally awesome) pizza/Italian/Greek place. In knots re: 4 year old's death until he gets home (I am too tired to drive safely.)

My husband wants to do the (Saturday morning) grocery shopping despite him not having memory for detail and me having a neurological condition managed solely with diet and supplements.

I happened to have a spare bottle of wine hidden away. Yay.

Cyneswith, it sounds like you had one of the worst days with to much to endure. But your last statement sounds like you have inherited some of your uncles optimism in realizing that you have a relaxant on hand. I sure hope tomorrow will be a blessing because it sounds like you need some peace.

I had an Ok day today, Just got back to one of my horse-back riding lessons. Managed to do an almost 3 foot jump today. I ALMOST fell off but managed to stay on. Also found my missing ducklings who had some how got out of their coop and into the main coop. We're going to start on our duck house today so things are going pretty well :D

It sounds like you are having a fun good day. I enjoy figuring out how and where to build coops and runs for our chickens. Have fun :)

Thanks! I take after my dad and love to build! So i'm very excited to start. We're going to a wood shop call Beachy so get some supplies. Were going to make it an 8 x 12 so its going to be a decent size for our ducks... Got 10 more ducks coming this Tuesday so we Really need to work fast.

That sounds awesome. I love to work with my hands too

Just got to WV. We have been riding all day but at our leisure. The mountains up here are breath taking. It is 86 degrees at our home in GA but only 69 degrees here.
