Temp remadies for chicks?

i got my first batch of chicks monday and last night one devoloped the strange little urge to start plucking her own feathers near her rear (when i got her she had pasty butt but i have kept that very clean for her). non of my other chicks are messing with her, she eats and drinks just fine clean bedding everynight so i'm not sure what is wrong, but i dont have any medicine and i wondered if i put just a tiny amount of neosporin on the raw area till i get some chick wound spray if it would hurt her or be ok till this weekend

Thanks guys! And sadly through out the day I have noticed more chicks acting the same. So now I suspect mites..... Is there anything I can do for chicks under a week old???

if you post this info on the site, Chickenpooplady suggested (emergencies, et al.) someone should be able to tell you what is safe to use on young chicks. You could also do a BYC search for "Treating mites in young chicks." Have you asked the source that sold you the chicks what to do?

Thank you!!! I've had adult chickens and never had any issues, now I have babies and I'm completely freaked out and worried over them.
