Tennessee

Everything is for sale on my farm! 60+ chickens, ducks, turkeys, bators, turners, books, you name it...gotta go. DH just got laid off again in the middle of winter...construction is NOT going to pick up, so rather than watch them starve, they need a good home. PM if interested. Delaware, Buff Orps, Marans, Ameracauna, Production Reds, Bronze turkeys, Muscovy's and all.

Okay! I'll be stalking this post then waiting

You know while I'm on here I'm gonna complain about Craigslist people! So I've acctually been looking for an EE rooster for a little while now and seen a post for 11 americauna roosters. I knew they probably weren't true americaunas but decided I'd text the person to see if I could call them to come get one the following day. (in the post it did say text/call, and I texted friday night). So Saturday rolled around and I called, noone answered so I left a voicemail. Later that day I called again, still no answer. So I decided to just wait for them to call me back, never did... a week later the same person posted to Craigslist for 11 americauna roosters!

So I decided I'd never call them again, since this wasn't the first time I've seen a post from them. The first time they had all sorts of different hens and roosters and one was a blue laced wyandotte, and when I called the first time they'd answer but when I called to get an address they'd never pick up! To all those that post on Craigslist, if you really want to sale the item you have posted, answer the dang phone!

Stanglover, I just hatched out a million olive egger chicks........they are olive egger girls crossed with cochins or my blue wheaten ameracuana (pure) rooster. I have one little chick who is blue wheaten.....so I would guess he is olive egger hen x blue wheaten ameracuana rooster. He is about 3-4 weeks old now, just in case you are interested. You can take another little rooster for a buddy for him if you want! LOL. He will need to be under heat for a while still. He has a broody momma.

how much? And when is a good time to meet up?
Lenoir City, I go there often. I go to the L.C. Feeds store to buy all my feed. The lady who owns it is so nice.
(ETA: I have to get feed tomorrow or Sunday anyway! Also, I have chicks that are under the light right now anyway. RIRs and Freedom rangers.)

He is free if you want him. I have 5 of 7 roosters in that batch of babies and at least 2 of 4 in the next batch, who knows how many in the last 15. Dang roosters everywhere! LOL.

How much is layer feed at that LC feeds? I usually buy mine at the Loudon Co-op.....they have 16% for $11something and 20% for $13something. Used to be cheaper and recently went up a bit.

I need feed this weekend as well, so we could meet whenever.

I don't have any good recent pix of him. He is the boy version of blue wheaten and has a comb starting, so definitely a boy. He is the chick just to the left of the broody mama in this pix....

He hatched around 11/3/2010.

21% layer pellets was $11.73 here at the Co-op in Maryville yesterday. Can't believe we're less than LC or Loudon. Usually we're higher than everyone else.

Cindiloo, I'm sorry you're having to get rid of all your farm animals. I'd take some birds, but just don't have the room. Hope things start looking up for you soon.

Oh dear! Cindiloohoo, don't lose hope yet! Why don't you install a PayPal donation button on your BYC home page? Maybe? I don't know, maybe some of our other TN folks can think of some ideas. If you really don't want to sell them and you just feel like you have to, maybe there are some other ways to get by. I just hate to hear of someone having to let go of their entire flock.

Please let us know how we can help. I am a recipient of our fine state's employee cutbacks, and there's often a way to squeeze through these times . . . Hang in there and keep us updated!
