I'm so sorry to hear about your red

Do you free range? My next door neighbor has also had allot of loss from Raccoons-even while in their runs & coops. I'm afraid of all the hawks here as well....I guess living on the edge of a forest that's to be expected & why I don't think FR (which I'd prefer) will work for me here. Currently mine are in a large enclosed Horse stall Lined with chicken wire & we're building an attached run. So far I've had no loss from predators but still worry about it & plan to trap & release (we have at least a half dozen young raccoons on or near our property every night). We saw coon/opossum tracks in our barn early on & evidence of them trying to dig underneath; so, I put a weather radio in there going 24/7, & We've had no problem since. Perhaps that might help you?
