32 chickens?! You are no where near my addiction problem! I lost track of the count after 125 - we are probrably around 150 now and I got another hatch hatching this week!!!!

The saddest part of it all is that I went through to list the birds I wanted to find homes for and only came up with around 25. lol!!! Well, now around 23 thanks to bibliophile......

On a simular note, anyone want to help finish out my quad coops?

i miscounted somehow: 4 eggs left to hatch... so that would be 42. i'm so dead.

Well you are well on your way to having my problem then! lol. What is your favorite waterer and feeder brand name? I'm going to go buy stock!

i promise promise promise that as soon as this family reunion is out of the way (it's tomorrow) and i get my parents shipped off to the Bahamas for vacation (so they can't make me work on the remodel) that i'll have you and Gary out to visit Mr. and Mrs. Goose. they'd be happy to see you!

they are the most curious little buggers i've ever seen. they have total run of the place- which isn't always great. came home the other day to the big, tough Red Heeler cattle dog sitting in the driveway in the rain while Ricky and Lucy played in the garage, pooping everywhere. he's completely terrified of them. he can stare down 800 lb bulls no problem, but two little ole geese and he makes a run for it!

they also left me these presents outside the basement door, which i found with my bare feet in the dark

Well,
I made it back with four Aussies. The folks from my church bought three BOs and three BRs. My Papaw went (the one that gave me my flock) and my Mamaw told him that if he brought anything home to just keep going, so he behaved and came back empty-handed but misty-eyed. I made my wife restrict me to $20.00 otherwise I'd have had to go to the Delano U-haul dealer.

Karen,
There were SS, but they were being sold as a lot and I didn't have $45.00 for the whole bunch....but I did think of you.

After we finished in the barn, we went to the veggies. I wandered back to the barn and noticed some Columbian Wynes that I hadn't seen before (the barn had more people than animals when the door opened) and I really regretted giving my wife all my money. But it was for the best; I have 30 EE eggs and 25 RIR eggs in the bator so I need to be patient. To take the chicken crazy gold metal, assuming 50% hatch rate, that will give me forty birds in June and I got the first one in March.....

Unless some opened a hatchery on a bet, I think I win.

Justin
