Man, we got gypped here! Nothing stuck just east of Nashville between the lakes.

stanglover, we used a pvc pipe from the inside of the pen to knock the ice/snow/leaves/whatever off the mesh before we put 2 x 4 support beams across our runs. Better get out there quick, LOL! Oh wait, maybe it would do hubby some good to get out all that energy after his crummy ride home, eh! Just give him a pole or broom and send him outside . . .

NellaBean, hope that's not a view of your workplace right before you left! Eesh . . .

TNTruly, you are getting snow too! Looks like a nice postcard view will be greeting you in the morning.

OklaDD, you got any snow up your way??

How about CityGirl? Any down in the Boro?

Buehler? Buehler?

Sorry. I had to.
Holly, got a few more eggs if ya want 'em. All these are much more rounded than the other ones, so they're sure to be pullets.

BTW, any snow out your way?

What? I should get a life instead of sitting on the web asking who has snow?? Pshaw!

This was the run when we first built it, see how nice and tight the netting was? A year of sun/rain/sleet/snow changes things

Jenski, yes that was the work parking lot. Mine is the black car on the right. There wasn't a darn spot in teh parking lot at lunchtime. And then i come out to this! Grrrrr.....I had a basketball sized snowball on the bottom of my windshield from where I cleaned the snow off the front window. Actually...its still there! Survived 20 mile drive home on the freeway, ha ha ha. Parking lot at work was slippery but the rest of the drive wasn't bad.

Me and the dogs played fetch with snowballs in the backyard. Or, the young dogs rather.....the old dogs peed and wanted back inside. The dogs sure love their snow......

Last snowstorm...

I know where you live!! Pullet eggs...we like those. 6 of the last are in to hatch now so may need to hatch more. They are so darn cute. One of your boys and a pullet left today..some little boys-they also have a sister wanted one of the little splash roos so I sent along a friend.I'm a sucker for kids and chickens-will always try to send them home with a good one...the brother took the black cochin with the gold that was in the MF pen. That little roo was just sleeping on his lap when he left
smile.png
They took a lot of the other roos home with them and a few pullets so I'm "down" on chickens right now.See my first pip in the next one's so new fluff coming soon..the old fluff is like 5 days old now
smile.png

We had snow that stuck but the rain took care of it when it changed over..now we just have mud
Jen needs more chicks... Here are 2 of your babies

Eh. I was in the theatre all day in rehearsals in Nashville so I have no idea what it was doing outside. Could have been a blizzard for all I know. When I came out the ground was wet, but that was all.

There is a possibility that it was sleeting this morning. My *&%&*!% cat Dodger got out this morning. For some reason he has a vendetta against Fred the outdoor kitty. Dodger hates his kitty guts. Mostly he demonstrates that by racing from window to window and bristling all over. This morning he managed to scoot out the door under my feet and challenge Fred. Thankfully Fred is a pacifist. Fred alternated between running and crouching and growling. Unfortunately for me, the running part meant that I was right behind the two of them dashing through the freezing rain. Thank heavens for the magic muck boots.

I finally managed to coax Dodger to me (when he realized that he was wet and cold now). Dork. I hauled his unhappy kitty tush back in the house with him growling and cussing the whole way. Stupid cat. In the midst of all that I vaguely recall thinking that perhaps it was sleeting.

I don't know that we ever decided between MiMi's and Las Palmas. I'm game either way. Las Palmas is located right next to Sam's Club on Old Fort Parkway. It it just past the intersection of John Rice/Cason Lane (same road, just different sides of Old Fort) and Old Fort Parkway. For those unused to TN road naming practices, Old Fort Parkway is also known as Hwy 96. MiMi's is located over by The Avenue.

Nellabean- love that picture of the dogs! They look like they are having a blast! Mine love the snow too (as long as they can come back in the house and warm up on the sofa).

Well dang it Holly, those chicks need to be getting some speckledies on 'em! I hope they are like their mama - - Nina had only a wisp of color when she was a chick, and the older she gets the more splashes she gets. By four months she was pretty splashy - -

And now her neck is entirely covered in nice speckles. Every time she'd molt baby feathers, she would pick up that nice steel grey splash. Let's cross our fingers!
