I also think it is nice how the alerts aren't marked as "read" until you actually see the post!

If you look under the alert settings you will see there is a way to change this.

I didn't say it but if I were to have said it I would take it back because it's actually very good depending on the subject/thread you're reading.

My main problem with it is that going to the message box makes the message box jump to the top of the screen instead of staying where I placed it on the screen. I don't want that feature thrown in my face every time I make a reply.

Move it over under the the New Posts on the side of the thread and I won't complain about it. Another option is to add it to that menu which currently has New Posts, New Threads and Active Threads.

I agree completely. Looks like a big empty box. I wasn’t sure there was even a text box there...despite the words to “write your reply.”

I personally don't like the new tool bar, but the quote system is awesome.

I suppose I'll stick with using the 'Ctrl' plus I or B or U instead of clicking in the tool bar. I do think the tool bar looks very...odd though. It's empty and the icons/options are just floating in the grey bar now. I also dislike that mine is two rows and there's only one icon in the bottom row when there is clearly space for it to be in the top.

I'll also say it has wrecked my gif game. lol I attach them like I normally would and then hit 'post reply' and I've had to go back every time to edit the post as the attachment shows as code and takes you to an "Oops, we couldn't find that" page. :/

Can you post a screenshot? I'm not sure what you mean.

You may be right. I've always just opened the notifications and right-clicked "open in new tab" each one when I'm on a computer so I could view them and then close them.

It automatically marks them as read, but I think it takes several days for the alerts to go away completely, at least from the alerts page.
