I teach 3rd grade language arts and realizing that I have only 3 more weeks and tons of stuff to do is literally going to put me over the edge.
This is always such a hard time, trying to wrap things up for the year.
Omg I'd eat that entire thing...

They're doing good!
Ready for a bigger pad

I fell asleep on the couch last night and woke up to a little GCM perched on the edge of their box, just looking around. Lol.
I was going to take them outside but it's been on the chilly side so I've been waiting :)
They're ..goodness.about 3 weeks now?? A little older?
They're getting their shoulder feathers in, I'll take pics at lunch!
pics pics pics!!!

Just set them!!! lol
Totally forgot earlier sorry!

I cant wait for it to warm up so I can take them for a little bug safari outside.
Found a pecan today while letting the girls out for their evening "free range" time and, upon smashing it open, it was gone in 30 seconds lol

Laurie! Look what I found!

I haven't looked through there yet...but that looks like a barred silkie at the bottom!

I know where that is. They have Swedish Flower Hens! Oh my! We need to go there. :/ When I can get chicks....
They have a nice selection of birds to choose from. Thanks for sharing this. :)

I should save the grub worms I dig up when planting for you.

You need to post the photos here too. ;) I may not be able to have chicks right now but I can live vicariously through those that do. :p

Those are some cool looking chickens!

@Brookshire11 ~ They have some nice chickens! I wouldn't mind having some Cream Legbars one day!

Here are my new feed buckets. I posted one pic a couple days ago, the other one finally came in. Also have one of it in action. I will put a second bucket in the pen when I get a lid for it. Have to make a run to Lowes to pick one up.

I was still feeding them out of the long plastic flip top feeder. I was having to refill it several times a day. I think the holes were getting a bit small since they would never eat the bottom portion of their feed. They took to it right off. I had to put a platform under one of them for my little Orp. She is there on the left. She is about half the size of the rest of the chicks. Seems like she just stopped growing. She was the one to find the water nipples and she found the feed first. Smart chick, just small.

I'll be scarce for the next week. I'll be helping my Mom at the flower shop for Mother's day week.

I want to live in that house!

Me too!!!

Nice feeder Henless!

I let the littles out for the first time today, since it was warm enough!

They just stood there at first...then I let the big girls out and they picked up on what they were supposed to be doing pretty quick.
Such smart lil peeps!
Get ready to be photobombed...

They are so cute! Thanks for posting the photos. :)

I planted a new tree (bald cyrpess)in the back yard this week. It will take a while to get shade from it but I have plenty of time to wait. :)

I finally won the war with the fire ants in my pot of mint. I dumped everything into a trash bag and threw them out. :) I sprayed the pot and patio with raid and let it sit for a few days. I bought new stuff to replant it yesterday. The bottom two thirds of the pot is hardwood mulch and the rest is soil.

I broke down and turned on the AC today. I've had the oven on and the house was getting too hot. I think I will leave it on the next few days too. It is supposed to be really windy. My house was so dusty from all the winds last week. I can do without that again. I hope we really get the rain that is forecast the end of the week. It is so dry here.
