I like that coop. Looks to have some good ventilation.

One suggestion, if you can afford it, I would extend the front part of the run a little farther out. Give them a little more room in the run when you can't let them out to free range.
I'm going to make mine 6x10 or so plus have another enclosed run area for them. I still like the other coop idea better than this one, but there are some ideas here that I will use too. :)

Boy was it chilly this morning! 47* here. BRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!! Warming up nicely today and the rest of the week. :) I'll be able to get the north side of the house painted on Saturday and part of the east side. I still need to scrape, repair and caulk about half the east side still too. Getting there!

What happened to everyone?

I got the north side of my house painted but haven't been able to work on it since due to hurting my sacroiliac and the weather. My back is better now so weather permitting I'll be back it on Saturday.

We have some big time weather coming in tonight and tomorrow. I hope everyone gets some rain. Man has it been dry!

Busy here also. I did get some painting done on the run, but still need to finish putting up the wire. DH has a fishing tournament this weekend, and hunting season started, so the run will be on hold again for a while.

My hens have slacked off the laying. Getting 7 to 10 eggs a day now. My flock came down with fowl pox, or at least I think that's what it is. They had the black scabby things on their comb/waddles. None of them got it bad, no eyes covered, nothing down their throats. Most are over it now, so hopefully the eggs will pick back up.

Been busy hatching chicks
Watcha hatchin'?

Oh wow, you have had a lot going on. Glad your girls are on the mend.

I'm enjoying the rain!
Getting my eggs delivered today!

I'll have 9 Russian Orloff eggs from good lines to slip under my Silkie!
I only have a few "legal" spots available thought lol.
I'll probably have a few to rehome.

If I get some good ones I'm thinking about entering them in shows.
They're not accepted yet, but there's only one way to make that happen! :)

woo hoo! Blue is still broody then I take it.

I wouldn't worry about the legality of how many you have. No one will know with your back yard. ;)

Hey Harley! I was wondering how you and the misses was doing. Great on the eggs! That's one of the best parts of my day, going out to the coop to gather the eggs. Makes me so glad I don't have to buy them at Walmart.

It's been raining here all day long. We need the rain, and glad it's a slow steady ran instead of a gully washer.
