I think I will talk the husband into taking a little road trip to La Grange on Saturday

I have never really seen chickens (except mine) in real life, so just the chance to see other chickens would make it a fun day for me!

Plus I love County Fairs... Food Food Food.

I think the Kendall County Fair is this weekend also (could be wrong) ... its closer to me but no chickens !

Anyway, if any of you are there, I will be the one looking into chicken cages like I have never seen one before... say hi

the kendall county fair is this weekend. do they show chickens in the 4h there?anybody know? i was going to go with the kids anyway but if they have some chickens i would definitely go look see whats there. i have been busy already this morning, in the grown out coop. i was adding roosts for the little fuzzy butts so hopefully they will quit trying to roost on the feeder and waterer. they have managed to knock them both over the last 2 days so i knew i had to get busy and do something. still need to build there coop so i can make room for the new hatchlings who should be hatching out starting in a couple of weeks and continuing for about a week and a half with the staggered hatch i'm trying. i have ee's that should hatch first then

some wheaten marans ( hoping to get a girl this time) and finally some seramas for my oldest girl who thinks they would be cute. hope everyone has a good day and try to stay cool

Good morning all,
TrentK I'm in Johnson County too. The storm last night brought lots of sorely needed rain to my area, this morning it has continued only now it's slower and more gentle, the good kind that soaks in. Hope you're getting it too.
Welcome to BYC, you've found a super group of fowl folks.

Good luck to everyone going to the LaGrange show. I won't make it, too much going on that day. Too bad because I love the LaGrange area.

When/Where is the next show?
