Your coup will really depend on your location and what you are keeping out. I use an 8x8 shed as my coup and that is attached to a concrete bottomed 20x20 run enclosed with chainlink and have netting over top, but we see coyotes regularly, not to mention the coons, possums, and hawks.
But if you are in a more "civilized" area a simple (big) dog house and some fencing may get you by. And then u gotta take into account the number of chickens you want to keep, i have mine set up for 20-25 chickens, and im at 21 now...lookin to expand soon!

If you have a Kindle or the Kindle app you can find several books with plans for coops, can be downloaded to your computer as well. Sometimes you can get them for free, you may need to watch the books for a couple of days to get it free. Hope this helps, I am not someone who uses plans, I build by sight, materials available and how much trouble I want to go to. When I had my 10 x 12 coop built, too big for me to do alone, I just told my builder what I wanted and made changes as we went along.i have but they are mostly finished product im looking for blue prints so i can build
also im looking for 6 hens or so and maybe a few turkeys
I use nest eggs. I like to think it works but who really knows. Lol. If you are going to have to buy them, I think ping ping balls are cheaper.
Taking a day off from work today! Hopefully i can get some work done on my new nesting boxes! Do any of yall use the golf ball trick to induce laying in new nests? Does it work?
Should they be white? I got tons of plastic easter eggs around
