No, you do not have a distinct advantage, all the money in the world can not make someone a smarter, better or more caring person. Like what Jungleexplore said, we are born equal it is what we make of that, that makes the difference. We are all born with the equal opportunity to make our lives what we want them to be.Jungleexplorer, we may have all been born naked and illiterate, but many of us have a distinct advantage. Your mother made sure you could read, which meant she valued reading. The child born in poverty from parents who are illiterate and with a poor vocabulary has so many obstacles to overcome to ever be on equal footing to white middle class American children. I was born with a decided advantage--both my parents were university educated, which is unusual for people born in the 20s. It is not a matter of choice.
Every one has obstacles to overcome, they are all relative.
