Greetings chicken listers! long time no forum. Starting the New Year with prep for the coop to be built and adding decorative touches to the chicken supplies. This is our soon-to-be feed bucket and we added some hen stencils to dress it up a bit. The coop will be started soon, my carpenter/builder has the plans and will begin getting things going within a couple of weeks. Then we can start looking for someone who has a couple of Buff Orpington pullets for sale, hopefully around 5 weeks old. When finished, our backyard mobile coop will look like this (but a different color) Can't wait to get my chickens. Only able to get a couple, but my son will love them. HAPPY NEW YEAR! That should be a wonderful coop. I bought mine 3 years ago off of Wal-Mart.com. it was made by Little Cottage Company and has held up well. We re - enforced it with welded wire and installed a Pullet Shut automatic door to make it more predator proof. I love it.

Good day (or good night every1)

Few days left overhere. Got the wedding pix from the photographer last night. He followed me from my hotel at 6:30am till the wedding restaurant ceremony at 1pm, then developed for us an album of about 50 pictures for a fee of almost 50 USD ... just can't beat the price.. so I gave him 50 buck and some chocolates.

Today we will go out and shop for little Charlie his craddle and a baby basket. One of my wife aunt will return in March to live in and care for the baby.... I had a chance to talk to her during the wedding so I gave her $50 for New Year and for the rerturn train ticket. I think we're ready for Charlie to come out and say Hi now.

Umm I'm guessing this is not a pet???[/quote]

No not a pet. The chick and snakes story reminded me of this pic I could never get to post. I mysteriously was able to post again so I thought I would share it. It actually happened 2 summers ago. It did not hurt the adult hens but killed a young pullet. I couldn't catch it that day, but then it came back for an egg and that slowed it down so I got it.
