It did not hurt the adult hens but killed a young pullet. I couldn't catch it that day, but then it came back for an egg and that slowed it down so I got it.[/quote]

I have a New Hampshire Red that is 30 weeks old and still has not laid an egg!

Her sisters, a golden sex link & Plymouth rock the same age, have been laying an egg a day for months.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Does anyone do multiple day hatches in one incubator?

Yes, but I will often use another incubator as a hatcher or " combine hatches say they locked down three days apart I will lock one down a day and a half late and the other goes in a day an a half early. But I have forgot mine before and by all, I mean ALL eggs hatched! no humidity change and still in the turner I heard cheeping by then we were stuck I wouldn't open it...I was terrified their little legs would get caught in the turner. But I didn't open it and all of them hatched!

Tried it once. Pain in the butt. Not worth the trouble for me. Now if I had a cabinet incubator with multiple levels it would be fine, but I did not have the best time trying to do it in my one-level Styrofoam thing.
