A friend told me to try a teaspoon or so of white vinegar in the boiling water. Haven't tried it myself but will the next time.

Never tried it with boiling, but i poach like that. Makes sense. The vinegar keeps the egg from spreading. It keeps poached eggs nice and round, and from ending up like egg drop soup lol

He works at O'Reilly's and they do that there too. My car is only 3 years old and only has 21K mikes on it. It really shouldn't be anything too wrong. I hope!

Praying its nothing major! Thats a REALLY short time frame for something major to happen...

I've tried warm, cold, warm while standing on one foot.... tried everything

It could just be me, lol
It's not just you. I have that issue from time to time too. I'll have to pay more attention to how old the eggs are next time. I do chill mine right away, so I don't think that helps. I also tap the pointy end and start to peel from there. I usually find an air pocket there and it does help some, but not always.

This is how my Mom does it and it usually works for me if I don't chill the eggs before I peel them. The shaking method works very well for cooking with children or if you need to peel a large quantity of eggs. Put the eggs in a container that has a lid. Fill the container with 1 inch of water. Seal the container tightly with the lid. Vigorously shake the container in all directions. Be thorough. When you open the container, the eggs will be peeled. Remove any leftover shell with running water.

Interesting. I never have more than a 3 eggs to peel at a time though. I'd like to try it though just for the fun of it. ;)

Me too! It's a Subaru. They are a pretty good car that last forever usually, so I really hope it is just something tiny. And inexpensive.

Hello everyone
Does any one on this thread raise or know of a breeder with muscovy ducks? I am having the hardest time locating some good quality scovies. I am looking for solid blue and chocolate. I am open to pieds if they don't have the white head gene. I live in the San Antonio area and would be willing to travel or pay for shipping. I'm open to ducklings, eggs, or started birds.

Sure wish I could go to sleep it's going to make for a very long day tomorrow or should I say today. Feel asleep at 8pm but those turkeys woke me up cause the tv was turned off at 9pm and they started crying and I had to turn it back on Fox News so they would get quiet. Now I can not go back to sleep. What are they going to do next week when I put them out in the coop? No more tv for them. :th

Harley, I am sorry you couldn't sleep. I hope the rest of the day goes better for you. It is nice to see someone bringing their turkeys up right. Maybe you could stream 'Rush' or 'Hannity' into the coop during the day for them.

Lisa :)

Haudo Easter's Ranch on Facebook has muscovy. Not sure about color, but the parents looked decent to my untrained duck eyes.

Good Morning! It's a bit chilly today. Next week we have rain in the forecast again! I hope we get a lot of rain. I've heard if the lakes in the DFW area drop 9 more feet we will go to Stage 4 water rationing.

Hoping to get out on my bike later, once it warms up some. May have to do a trainer ride - windy again today.

I haven't heard from my son about my car yet. I think I need to text him.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Oh, Brookshire11, when you poach really fresh eggs, you will not need any vinegar! I've poached bantam eggs (2/3rds the size of large eggs) that were so round they were shaped as if they still had a shell on them.
