Texas

I am new to byc but I am in gustine texas I am located about 35 miles from stephenville texas and about a hour in a half from fort worth north and a hour and half from temple east. I have 18 american game chickens and right now I am incubating about 15 new babies and I cant wait for them to hatch

my chicken coop is a in progress we got the frame and roof up will post pics later!!! so excited my big chicks are about ready to be from bath tub (doesn't work) to out doors!!!!! my other chicks are ready for the bath tub....

I have 2 questions. I have a hen (EE) that will lay everyday for about a week, and then take 2 weeks off, and then start laying again. Should I have her checked out, or should I just accept it. She is healthy and there are no new stress, for lack of a better word, Actuators. My second question is, why is one of my RIR's holding its wings in a squat position? Should I be concerned about this, or is it just the change in the weather? Thanks, Ken

I know this is off subject but it's Prom night here in Quitman and I had to show off my oldest boy who graduated last year and his girlfriend/future wife. I pray all have a happy and safe night.

Welcome from Rosenberg!!! How eggsciting!! Don't forget to post pictures of your babies.

I worked in the yard today for about 6 hours. That included a trip to Calloways too. My back bed is coming along nicely. :) I just need a couple more shrubs and more flowers.

It went from this...

To this....

There were several changes in between. :) The back yard is looking so much better. I need to get better photos when the sun is out.
We have been here a 1.5 years now. Still a lot to be done.

It never did rain today like it was supposed to. I hope we get some soon.

My garden is sprouting! I'm going to plant the warm season veggies next weekend. Somehow I ended up with 6 tomato plants. My garden will hold 4 of them. The other 2 will go into my earth box. :)

I need to make supper and finish cleaning the house now...
Very nice!!! I finally got my garden in today. It was misting while I was doing it. That was all the rain we got. Supposedly we are going to get it tomorrow.

Well, they aren't birds but they are my peeps and I am very proud of them. My other son in a Jr this year and he and his buddies are boycotting Prom. They are in the back acre burning the brush pile as their protest bond fire. They all either broke up with their girl friends or were broken up with. So Hubby is gone on his 14 day hitch so, I'm all alone in this big old house and the silence is so loud!
