Yes please do. This type of eclipse is rare and I would feel terrible if anyone got up only to have missed it. Plus they would be none too happy with me for making them loose sleep. Probably best if I stick to chicken stuff!

No I think I messed up again...the article said 3:46 EDT and I get confused but I believe we are an hour earlier so that would make it 2:46 our time not the other way around...sometimes I'm such an airhead. Now I have everyone confused. I even PM hung and now he'll be confused too. If you folks really want to see it, you probably should google it so you don't get up for nothing. so sorry..

That's great. Too stressful for me. I hope to one day try hatching eggs. Tried to under Scrambled when she went broody, but I did not keep her separate from the other hens. They broke the fertilized eggs she was sitting on and replaced them with their own. In the end there was only one egg marked with an X. It did not hatch. I wonder if it was just too hot. It was in Aug. When temps got up to 105°.
Scrambled did a great job, if I had kept her isolated she may would have hatched them. Stupid hens.

This was pretty stressful. I have hatched 5 times in another incubator before but this one I used this time was new and a different type and I wasnt sure it was gonna work out the same. Many of them I had to help out with and I have never had to do that before. But I couldnt listen to them just sit there and die. I am to big hearted and it would have killed me to know I could have done something and didnt.

This link shows 2:46am Central time. Let's hope that they means the current daylight saving time.

Blast this Texas weather...it's gonna get cold again! Tuesday and Wednesday mornings in the mid to low 30s for us. It's suppose to get down to 36 in Houston overnight Tuesday to Wednesday morning. That will put it very near freezing for me and even colder for most of y'all. Really hoped we were done with that. Guess we"ll be using the fireplace again after all. Glad we didn't take the plastic off the chicken house yet.

We got the 6 ft fence up. Finished when it was almost too dark to see. Have a few details but it will do so they can go out while we're at church. With a 40 percent chance of rain tomorrow, the morning may be all the outside time they get. There is servere weather coming for you folks up in North Texas.

Hope everyone stays safe and warm.

Anyway...another late supper and tea time tonight. Magpie
