Forgive me for not reading all the previous posts (LOL), but I am just going to jump in here. I have just officially stopped lurking and am now posting, since I feel I have enough knowledge now to maybe add to some of the conversations. I am located south of San Antonio and looking forward to cooler weather so I can turn off the misters. We hit 113 last Sunday and I was tucking ice bags under the poor hens who were actually trying to lay an egg in the coop. Worked pretty well and they weren't panting nearly as much, poor girls.

I got a hen laying on some eggs
Today I light them all 7 out 12 are gonna hatch
She is one of my best hens Sumatra x shamo strong bird.
